Kara & Alex // Rewrite the Stars

This video essentially captures Kara & Alex from season 4 with a few creative liberties in between.

I had a lot of fun playing around with Kara’s struggle as she comes to term with her new reality and the oh-so-obvious undercurrent of emotions between Alex and Supergirl in their new dynamic. There’s hurt and anger and confusion, but then there’s also this undying commitment and love between these characters, such that they always pull together when they are lost and hurting. There will never be a world where Alex doesn’t save Kara, doesn’t protect her, and doesn’t love her. No matter the odds, Kara and Alex will always be inevitably drawn to each other. Even as Kara loses all hope and nearly dies, Alex pulls her back and gets her to come back… come home.

Anyway, this video goes out to a very special friend and my favorite writer. You are incredible and I hope you like this little gift as a way of celebrating your birthday. I mean you wrote my favorite long-fic on this song so, yeah. This one’s definitely for you.
