"“[There is] no satisfaction whatever at any time. There is only a queer divine dissatisfaction, a blessed unrest that keeps us marching and makes us more alive than the others” - Martha Graham

A generalising specialist working for multilateral organisations on health communications, data science and digital development while pursuing her medical degree, Cynthia has always been known as “weirdly passionate about work”. In this TEDx talk, she explores how the idea of “Blessed Unrest” pushes her forward, why dissatisfaction is not necessarily bad, and how our nature to be dissatisfied can encourage growth, and even give us peace with failures." A former intern at the WHO and a current medical student, Cynthia Lam has devoted her time to health advocacy work, specifically on NCDs, rare diseases, and disabilities. An avid social innovator, she invented a device that purifies water and generates energy that brought her to the Google HQ at 17. She continues to develop solutions to social issues that span across LegalTech and MedTech fields. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at https://www.ted.com/tedx
