  • Mic Kline
Mic Kline 6 years ago My dad taught me to play chess when I was only 7. He was very very good and competitive. Three years after I use a trick to  win, he did not expect me to be aware of a trick or two, this was the one and only game I won from him in over 40 years of playing him. I never got over on him again.  I have learned so much through internet tutorials since he passed a few years ago.  I would so love to try a few of these on him just to see if I might get another win.  Maybe in the next life.

  • alexc773
alexc773 3 years ago If you're a fan of this gambit, a great alternative way to start this gambit is to perform Nf3 as the opening move. This invites the move d5 from black, which enables you to play e4, thus setting up the gambit. The nice aspect about the 1. Nf3 d5 2. e4 opening is that it doesn't require your opponent to play the Scandinavian.

  • Michael Gray
Michael Gray 2 years ago This is how I play the Tennison (as a transposition from the Reti). I love it, blacks moves are basically forced, I get a rapid king side development while black develops in a meaningless way.
  • Michael Morris
Michael Morris 1 year ago Only if he's foolish enough to try hold on to the pawn. e5 in response to Ng5 (giving back the pawn on e4) defuses all the tricks and gives the initiative to black.

  • misanthrop1958
misanthrop1958 5 years ago I watched a few of your "dirty chess tricks" and I am surprised! I never thought there were so many options for a fast win in the opening stage of the game. Unfortunately my memory is not too good, so next time I am confronted with a dirty chess trick, it is probably my opponent , who does it not me :-(
