Dickinson College is a highly selective, private liberal-arts college in Carlisle, Pennsylvania, centrally located between New York City, Philadelphia, Pittsburgh, Baltimore and Washington, D.C. Chartered in 1783, Dickinson was the first college founded in the newly recognized United States, just days after the signing of the Treaty of Paris.
