Rickshaw wala

27th November 2015, Five years ago today a lot of lives including mine changed forever when we witnessed a master piece like Tamasha. There are so many important characters which drive the story other than Ved and Tara and it's very clear in few cinematic reference shots throughout the film. According to me, there are three possibilities of a single character which are shown in the film. Three mirrored reflection of Ved, Three wheeler Rickshaw, and Ved's father talking to him about the same three possibilities, are few references shown in the film. One possibility is that of a Nukkad Kahani wala, other is of Ved and the least talked about is this of The Rickshaw Wala. All of them failed to succeed in their love for art due to different circumstances but still some how managed to live for their art. Rickshaw Wala is one least talked about character in the film though he plays a major role in Ved's journey of becoming a story teller. He is the one who unknowingly shows Ved the path of becoming something what he really wants to do in life. Something triggers inside Ved after listening to Rickshaw Wala when he says 'Andar se kuchh aur hi hai hum, par bahar se.. majboor'. He also becomes Ved's first audience when he performs for the first time at a dhaba. Ved also takes him along in his theatre group and he continues to sing and perform for the live stage audience and not only inside his Rickshaw
