Kratos and Freya are on a mission to rescue Freyr, but the Watchman of the Æsir, Heimdall, stands in their way. Kratos tells Freya to go and steps up to challenge Odin’s lapdog atop his mount, Gulltoppr. After killing the mount, it is up to Kratos to finish the job. However, killing Heimdall will test the limits of the God of War’s restraint and patience, so much so that the monster of the past starts to rear its head.
