From the WBIR Vault (June 28, 2016): Legendary University of Tennessee Lady Volunteers basketball coach Pat Summitt passed away from early-onset Alzheimer’s disease on June 28, 2016. As head coach at the University of Tennessee from 1974 to 2012, Summitt won eight NCAA championships.
