Israeli Drone ‘Bumps Into’ Hamas Militant Hiding in Room

This is the moment an Israeli drone inside a residential building comes within inches of an armed Palestinian fighter.

The man appears completely surprised, and uncertain of what do. The drone then seems to make a hasty exit.

The clip was part of a new compilation of combat footage released by the Israeli military today. Israel says it depicts combat operations in Khan Younis, in the south of Gaza.

Another video released on Sunday claims to show Israeli forces destroying a Hamas tunnel network connecting north and south Gaza. This sped-up clip of a soldier traversing the length of the tunnel gives an impression of its enormous scale. Tunnels such as this are used by Hamas to launch attacks on Israeli troops, and to conceal weapons and equipment.

Much of the footage released by the Israeli military in recent days has focused on combat operations at al-Shifa hospital. Including night raids by special forces. Israel claims it has killed dozens of Hamas fighters in and around the hospital, and discovered weapon caches. But al-Shifa is Gaza’s largest hospital and the intense military action continues to have a devastating effect on the civilian population.
