How can you tell if the Diesel Jeans that you are about to buy online are genuine?

Step 1: Indian Head Tag
Diesel jeans feature a label on the inside which features an Indian Head and says -DIESEL-ONLY-THE-BRAVE DIESEL-. Underneath the head it will say 'SIZE', and to the right will be the size number. There may also be the 'MADE IN ..' details. Older styles feature the faint digits 77 55 RR above the head.

Step 2: Security Thread
On very close inspection there is a thin line of micro-stitching on the Indian Head tag that reads 'Diesel'. The seller may not take the care needed to capture this fine detail in a photograph but make sure that it is the first detail you check should you purchase a pair of Diesel jeans.

Step 3: Wash Label
Underneath the Indian Head tag there should be a wash label including country of manufacture. These countries can include Italy, Tunisia, Morocco and Romania.

Step 4: Tag Inside
The wash label features a lot of product information in a number of languages. It is important to check that the Model (MOD) matches the model of the actual jeans, and that the B.T., LAB, LAV, TESS and Date are all present.

Step 5: Swing Tags
New Diesel jeans are accompanied by swing tags. Check that the registered trademark R is present and for any errors in the Diesel logo size, shape and font. Also check that the model and size details match the details on the inside wash label. Remember that genuine swing tags can accompany counterfeit jeans.

Step 6: Pocket Label
Most Diesel jeans feature a logo in the front right hand pocket. It says 'Diesel Industry' followed by the red Diesel 'D'. And underneath says 'DENIM DIVISION' in red. Check the logo very carefully for any inconsistencies in size, font or colour. And that the label and stitching are aligned.

Step 7: Buttons
Some buttons and studs on Diesel jeans are branded. Check that any engraving, stamp or emboss is cleanly finished.
