Sgt. Daniel Perry is a free man, thanks to a pardon by Texas Gov. Greg Abbott. Perry was convicted in the death of a Black Lives Matter protester when he drove his car into a group of people during a demonstration. The DA in Travis County, Texas says the pardon sends a message that life doesn’t matter. But attorney Doug O’Connell, who represented Perry, tells “Dan Abrams Live” that Abbott “absolutely” did the right thing. He says there was evidence tampering by the prosecution.
