Eve Online - So you wanna be a space trucker?

In my first Eve Careers lesson, I want to talk about my #2 source of income...hauling!

Income:
* You can expect to earn between 20M Isk/hr and 1B Isk per hour hauling, depending on the contracts you are taking. In this lesson I talk about high-sec hauling specifically, which is accessible within your first few months of playing Eve Online.

* While hauling in high sec, you can expect to earn between 20M Isk per hour and 100M Isk per hour - highly contingent upon contract availability! In this video I earned 8M ISK for a contract that took me 18 minutes round trip, for a total of 26M Isk per Hour.

Key Points:
4 Most dangerous places for a high-sec hauler are:
1. Undocking from a station
2. Docking to a station
3. Jumping into a stargate
4. Aligning out from a stargate

Hauling Best Practices
1. Maximize Tank (Shield, Armor, Reinforced Bulkheads)
2. Minimize Cargo Expanders (Never take a contract that requires 3 cargo expanders)

NOTE: If you ignore my advice to not take a contract delivering to a Player Owned Citadel, and they strip your docking access AFTER you accepted a courier contract, you can still deliver the package using the "Item Transfer" when within tethering range of the citadel to move cargo into the Citadel, where you can then deliver the package using your Contracts window. This does not work if the Citadel is your origin since you cannot take the package without docking!
