Cancer Biomarkers in the Era of Personalised Medicines

Cancer biomarkers are molecules that are usually produced by cancer cells which can be detected in bodily fluids or tissues. They can help identify people who have cancer or who are at risk of getting cancer. In fact, biomarker testing helps to identify the “Achilles' heel” of different types of cancer, ensuring that the right person receives the right treatment at the right time.
