Nina Simone, singer, pianist, performer, composer, arranger, made several hits during her carreer. In 1987 “My baby just cares for me” was used in a commercial ad for perfume Chanel n°5. Her musical approach includes jazz, blues, gospel, folk, she often used counterpoints as she loved Bach style, but also romantic piano repertoire, Chopin, Liszt, Rachmaninoff. Nina Simone was also an activist in the civil rights movement.
