The Lord of the Rings: The War of the Rohirrim - An Epic Prequel Arrives!
Calling all Tolkien fans! Buckle up for a journey back into the heart of Middle-earth with the exciting new animated film, The Lord of the Rings: The War of the Rohirrim. This epic prequel dives deep into the history of Rohan, the horse-lords of the plains, long before the events of The Lord of the Rings trilogy.

𝗥𝗲𝗹𝗲𝗮𝘀𝗲 𝗗𝗮𝘁𝗲:

Mark your calendars! The War of the Rohirrim charges into theaters on December 13th, 2024. There was a slight delay from the original April release date, but the wait will surely be worth it.

𝗖𝗮𝘀𝘁:

Brian Cox (known for his powerful roles in Succession and X-Men) lends his voice to the legendary King Helm Hammerhand, a warrior-king who will defend his people at all costs.
Joining him is a new character, Helm's daughter Hera. We don't have information on the voice actress yet, but she's sure to deliver a memorable performance.

𝗣𝗹𝗼𝘁:

Prepare to witness the untold story behind Helm's Deep, the mighty fortress that played a pivotal role in The Lord of the Rings. The War of the Rohirrim takes us back centuries before Frodo and the Fellowship. We'll see the rise of King Helm Hammerhand and the brutal war against the Dunlendings, a race of fierce men who threaten Rohan's very existence. The film will explore the heroism, sacrifice, and legacy that shaped the Rohirrim into the horse-lords we know and love.

This highly anticipated film is being brought to life by the talented team at Sola Digital Arts, the studio behind the stunning visuals of Blade Runner: Black Lotus. The Lord of the Rings veterans, Alan Lee and John Howe, who contributed to the original trilogy's design, are also on board for this project. So, expect a visually breathtaking experience that stays true to Tolkien's vision of Middle-earth.
