Exploring the West Highland Way: Rainy Adventures from Milngavie to Loch Lomond

This was our first attempt at completing the West Highland way. We set off from Milngavie on a wet Wednesday morning and took on the trial heading past areas such as Drymen and and Balmaha before pitching tent up at Cashel Campsite for the night.

On the 2nd day, under a cloud of heavy rain, we made the journey towards Rowardennan where we stopped for lunch. At this stage it was starting to become clear there was issues developing with blisters and soreness. We pushed on towards the intended target for the night - the Inversnaid Hotel. After a night in the hotel we finished off the trial along the banks of Loch Lomond. Once we arrived at Beinglas Campsite, we knew by then it was game up and we decided to end our journey there and redo this at another time.
