0:00 Intro
0:05 The technician said it needs a new engine. Didn't mention anything else. That's why a pre-purchase inspection is always recommended, especially on a Diesel!
0:23 Technician said: "They caught something between the head and engine block. That created an oil leak. They removed the head and tried to repair the damaged engine block. It didn't work very well. Hahaha."
0:36 The customer said they drove it to the shop because they didn't have any more free tows with AAA.
0:46 As mentioned the customer cut the frame since there was apparently no room for them to go to the power steering box. You should never cut a frame.
1:00 The technician said: "2011 Equinox 200,000+ miles / 321868 kilometres. Complaint of clunk sound when braking. The torque box was rusted away and the trailing arm support broke. The repair involved a piece of scrap strut channel and welding and a new trailing arm. But for an SUV that is close to the scrap yard that is the best, it's going to get."
1:06 The technician said the upper bolt was cross-threaded and has been for quite a while. The CV axle wasn't the issue.
1:14 If it works it works. Not bad for 20 bucks. It would be a very uncomfortable ride but will get you where you need to go! The truck is a Ford Raptor so I'm going to assume they were using it for some jumping/off-roading and that's how they broke a shock.
1:28 Technician said: "A recap is when a shop shaves off the remaining original tread of a tire and they mold a tread onto the tire using adhesive and heat I believe. I’m not sure about the process so that’s the best way I can describe it. It’s pretty much a tire that looks new, but it’s not really new. It’s a cool concept but I don’t trust recap tires, I’ve seen too many fail."
1:38 That's a Snickers bar somebody tried to put in the fuel filler neck. The technician said 3 tires were also slashed.
1:46 That's the outer tie-rod end that is hanging on for dear life. I'm surprised the customer drove it in and surprised the technician didn't crash the vehicle.
1:57 2008 Nissan Pathfinder 146k miles / 234964 kilometres.
2:09 The customer is very lucky they went to a shop right away when they were having an issue. This could have ended pretty bad for the customer as all the brake fluid leaked out.
2:19 Very worn-out rear tires on an SRT Dodge Charger.
2:31 Fake turbo on a customer's Dodge Charger lol.
2:39 Broken glove box on an Opel (didn't mention model).
2:42 As mentioned VW switched to 12v electrical systems in 1967.
Before that, they were 6V electrical systems.
2:58 Outro. Thanks for watching!
