Common Grackle - Learn a Bird - Episode #53

Описание к видео Common Grackle - Learn a Bird - Episode #53

Did you recently see a HUGE flock of blackbirds and are wondering what they were???
..
Common Grackle (Quiscalus quiscala) are the large, loud and obvious. If you live in North American, chances are you've heard or seen common grackles many times (Even if you didn't notice them!)
..
Grackles belong to a family of birds that includes blackbirds and orioles. They can eat a wide range of foods, from insects, to fruits to grains. They're quite adaptable. It's common to notice these birds in their huge flocks (or "plagues" as some call them) during the spring migration or in late summer. Why late summer? Because Grackles are known to explore regions before migrating south in big social groups.
