Ex–Honor Guard Brought to Tears by Tomb of the Unknown Soldier

Ethan Morse, who grew up on a farm in Potsdam, New York, had never seen the Tomb of the Unknown Solider before a friend invited him on a day trip to Arlington National Cemetery. That afternoon left a deep impression on him, and when he enlisted in the Army in the wake of 9/11, Morse knew he wanted to serve as a tomb guard. After training for one year, he was selected for sentry duty at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier.
