Ambient Improv // "Sunrise on a World of Glass"

Another ambient track, this time taking the Blofeld head-to-head wtih the reface DX, kindly lent to me by Floyd Steinberg. Do the two make a good team? Have a listen and find out! ;)

About the title:

Well, I've had this image in my head of what a sunrise on a moon made of glass would look like.
At first, even before the sun makes it above the horizon, you'd see the ground glowwing faintly as the sun shines through it. That glow slowly becomes stronger, until the sun comes into view, its light reflecting and scattering off mountain ranges, colored like by prisms and by the colors of the glass itself.

By the way, that idea of a glassy moon is inspired by Minmus from Kerbal Space Program.
It's a tiny moon orbiting the Kerbal's home world, and its made of green glass.

About the setup:

Firstoff, this video was made possible by Floyd Steinberg who lent me his reface DX.
So big "thank you" to Floyd, if anyone sees him in the comments section, give him a thumbs-up! ;)

While the melody is obviously played on the DX, things are a bit more complicated for the pads.
Those are controlled by the reface CP. I'm running its MIDI signal through my DIY VST "Arclight", which is basically a fancy chordizer, and send its output on to the Blofeld.
Thereby, in short, I only need to play root notes to control the pads on the Blofeld.

(And yes, you can download that plugin from my website if you want to try it out. Just be warned that it's DIY and may contain bugs.)

And while I'm at it, I'm also remapping the CP's drive knob to act like a modwheel on the pads.

Last but not least I'm running everything through the Specular Tempus for that reverb goodness.
