When the dominant ape ruler Proximus Caesar, equipped with weapons created from forgotten human technologies, distorts Caesar's principles to subjugate other groups, the chimpanzee tracker Noa embarks on a perilous expedition with a human girl named Mae to decide the fate of both apes and humans.
