Close Call: Heart-pounding Escape From Car Crash In Race To Dakar Senegal

Experience the adrenaline rush, tension and intense moments as I head off for Day 1 racing in the Africa Eco Race. Beginning the day with a flat battery straight off the ferry in Morocco, a heart pounding moment as I narrowly escape being hit by a car, stepping on my headphones and all of this before even starting the first off-road special stage of the Africa Eco Race.

This is just Day 1 of racing towards Dakar, what else could possibly go wrong over the next 13 days.

I hope you enjoy part 3 of this intense multi episode series, where the harsh reality of taking on the toughest, most extreme and historically renowned races in the world is about to hit! I am equipped with nothing but my bike, an odometer, compass and a paper scroll road book.

It is officially time for me to set off and begin to navigate my way solo over thousands of kms of punishing terrain for the next 13 days on my way to Dakar. This is not going to be an easy task.
