How do Factor Xa Inhibitors Work? (DOAC's)

How do Factos XA inhbitors (Rivaroxaban) Work? These factor xa inhibitors are anticoagulants that block clotting factor 10 to which prevent the production of fibirin. This causes a decrease in blood clots and ultimately "thins" the blood.

There are 4 drugs in this class: Rivaroxaban, Apixaban, Edoxaban & Betrixaban. They are all anticoagulants These medications are used to treat and prevent blood clots from forming which may lead to heart attack and stroke patients. Anticoagulant therapy seeks to prevent the development of deep vein thrombosis and pulmonary embolisms.
