Описание к видео WiFi Issue with Satechi Mac Mini Hub & Stand: FAULTY BATCH

UPDATE - from Satechi:
Following an extensive testing phase, we have identified batch-related issues in the PCBA assembly process at the manufacturing facility. At present, we are actively investigating the extent to which units from the affected batch may have been impacted. Regrettably, we are unable to offer replacements as a resolution at this time due to the ongoing investigation.

As a interim measure, we are providing an option for returns with a refund as the sole troubleshooting avenue for addressing this issue. If the product was purchased on www.satechi.net, we can assist you with the return process. For products purchased on our Amazon Storefront, we recommend reaching out to their customer support for product returns.

We deeply apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and appreciate your understanding as we work diligently to address and resolve the matter.

UPDATE: So, I am starting to think it is not an antenna issue! I mentioned that my speed was only reduced when I connected the box, not when it was just sitting underneath my MacMini. I have taken that one further and connected the hub through an extension cable so that it is clear of the MacMini - and the WiFi speed is STILL reduced. That is actually kind of logical (?!) - if it was an interference issue then I did not understand why everyone was not impacted. But if it is an electronics issue i.e. faulty box it might explain why only some are having the problem and why the speed, even on mine, varies....

Having used the Satechi Mac Mini Hub & Stand there seems to be a significant impact on WiFi speed when connected to the Mac. It's a great box but the WiFi speed is an issue - it drops by at least 50% and sometimes to an absolute crawl!

Satechi Support comment [I have tried and it does not resolve the issue for me].
We recommend trying the following:

Hub Reinitialization:
· Disconnect the hub from your Mac.
· Restart your Mac to reinitialize setup [Ensure the Dock is disconnected, and all devices are unplugged]

Additional Troubleshooting Steps:
· Disconnect then Reconnect to Wifi - We recommend running 2.4Ghz when possible (vs. 5Ghz) which may cause interference or a drop in Wifi speed in some cases

Per recent testing, in some cases, we noticed a slight drop off in wifi when connecting the hub to the Thunderbolt Port closest to the HDMI port (M2 Pro Mac Mini) - Please try a different Thunderbolt port to see if you can replicate the issue.
