10 RAREST Pontiac GTO Muscle Cars Ever Made!

Today, the Pontiac GTO enjoys widespread notoriety in the automotive world. However, it's not well-known that it was, in fact, the first true muscle car. It was created by taking a large displacement V8, and shoehorning it into a mid-sized car body. This combination of a big engine and a small stature made for blistering straight-line speed which, at the time, had never been seen on that scale before at the factory level.

As time went on, the GTO sold well in many different variations. However, there are quite a few unique and rare GTOs out there, sporting rare body, motor, and transmission options.
