For this week, many people who watched my previous videos have asked me to show them something different about Fine WoodCarving. So we decided to make a video about: “A Young Man Has Tried To Carve Kagura Masks To Inherit Tradition With More Than 20 Types of Blades”.

I have gone to Takachiho Town in Miyazaki prefecture where the main character is working to find out, I've done a few interviews and started writing the script, rewrote the content, a new voice was recorded, new effects work, new music, new footage added and a new creation about Kagura Masks is created.

Born in the house of a Kagura engraver and being the eldest son of the three brothers, He grew up and was aware of his responsibility to continue his father's job. When he was 25, he asked his father to be a disciple and take a step to be a great engraver. If he did not inherit the traditions his household would be in trouble. The Kagura masks have been declared a national traditional handicraft by Miyazaki prefecture.
