How to Start Art Journaling | Intro to Art Journaling for Beginners | A Complete Beginner's Guide: Art Journals take on many forms - from diaries to mixed media journals, to sketches and painted images. In today's video, I show a number of my own journals and then show the process of creating an art journal page layout, with minimal supplies. Start with a journal (or paper) that supports the medium you use. Mixed Media paper or Watercolor Paper is best for painting and markers. I also use matte acrylic paints, a few paintbrushes, stencils, and then either paint markers, gel pens, or additional acrylic paint. I show the process from start to finish for creating a journal layout. #artjournal #journaling #artinspiration #danielamellen #artist
