Since leaving her famous post at the Los Angeles District Attorney’s office in the mid-90s, Clark has become a bestselling crime novelist. Her new book, Blood Defense, draws upon Ms. Clark’s own experience in the courtroom. It is the first book in a new series about a young, ambitious defense attorney who is looking for her big break when she lands the case of a decorated police detective charged with the murder of a beloved TV star.
