Ah, yes, I love the Mario Sunshine soundtrack! It’s just so incredibly light and breezy c:
Can’t help but instantly think of summer as soon as I hear something from that game, and I really wanted to make a cover that gave off the same feeling, so I decided to go for a tropical electro swing vibe in order to keep things light, breezy and summery! ;D

Ended up using ProjectSAM’s Swing! a lot when making this one! Like almost everything you hear in the cover was made using it. Swingy drums, all guitars, the ukulele and a lot of the other instruments and details. Of course there are synths (I think all were made with Massive this time around), as well as some some chiptunes made with Chipsounds, but it’s mostly just basic synths with a lot of Swing! xD

Also, I’ve had a few people ask me how I synced the Shine Sprite’s bounce to the track, and I just did that by exporting the kick drum by itself, and set the shine to scale with the audio level :D
