With the Chinese New Year approaching, hundreds of millions of Chinese are travelling across the country to reunite with their families. Beijing West Railway Station is often the busiest train station in the capital, and the rush has been more noticeable in the days before the start of the Year of the Pig on February 5 2019. For many passing through the terminal, it is one step on a difficult journey that takes hours or even an entire day before their holiday begins.
