Hacking an old Kapture Group camera (Nikon lens to Hasselblad back) to update it for 2024.

Описание к видео Hacking an old Kapture Group camera (Nikon lens to Hasselblad back) to update it for 2024.

I have a modern Hasselblad digital back, but the XCD lenses cost a fortune, and it has no internal mechanical shutter to use with third party lenses. A mechanical shutter is a must to take quality photos of anything in motion, or to use a flash. I also like using camera movements (like tilting or shifting the lens), which can't be done with Hasselblad XCD lenses. This video shows how I modified both a Kapture Group Truewide and a Linhof Technika 70 (shown at the end of the video) to be more portable. With these hacked cameras, I can attach almost any retro lens to a leaf shutter for use with my digital back.

This video will be useful to folks with Hasselblad 907X 50C or 907X 100C backs. It might be useful to folks with a busted Linhof Technika 70 who want to remove the big rangefinder.
