using you - lmk shadowpeach animatic

this took over 100 hours of drawing and editing..i think my wrist is permanently damaged LMAO, i will say this is the hardest i ever and probably will ever try on an animatic again, i way over did anything i was used to and i am paying the consequences mentally, emotionally, but especially physically..i am in so much pain ahahah

i'm gonna rant a little about the whole idea behind this and say i wanted to try to portray wukong and macaques complex relationship and emphasis on it with colors, hands, peaches, and expressions but unfortunately i way over estimated myself and had to cut down a lot of my ideas for my own sanity and well being. i hope the little details get noticed though bc FUCK THIS WAS PAINFUL TO MAKE
i wanted to show the genuine love and care they have for each other as well as the deep resentment and regret of and in their relationship BUT THAT'S EXTREMELY HARD TO PULL OFF SO THIS IS ALL I COULD DO. i also wanted to end it in a softer note, but still show how their relationship is far beyond repair as it stands right now, but they've both made small gestures to signal they want things to be better (macaques small reassuring smile even after seeing his argument with wukong, and wukong handing him a peach popcicle in a silent treaty and macaque silently, but reluctantly accepting it as well as wukongs inclusion of him in the "we can handle it" at the end of season 4)
i wanted to have three background colors, light pink for past, darker pink for seasons 1-4 where they're relationship is really bad, and a middle tone (for after macaque gives wukong the reassuring smile in the scroll at the end season 4) to show things are trying to be fixed, but not quite fixed. unfortunetly i couldn't include the middle tone, i was too far into the process to recolor. i think just the two colors are enough to emphisis, but man i wish i could've done 3 colors. :(
anyway we’ve seen macaque talk about his “past” care and regret of care for wukong many times, but we see much less of that from wukong himself.
he always hides it the form of the most out of pocket insults to degrade macaque and it’s fucking awful, but as macaques mask of brave and vengeful slowly dwindles in the samadhi fire episode, wukongs cracks as well. with small looks and little gestures. lord. shadowpeach makes me so fucking sick.
i really wanna see where they’re relationship goes and how exactly it got to where they are now. and i need to see how they met. plz.
BUT WHOOOWIII shadowpeach. am i right? AUGH. i hate em so much.
