Historic Local Homes | Living St. Louis

Описание к видео Historic Local Homes | Living St. Louis

Living St. Louis Producer Jim Kirchherr tours some of the oldest homes in the St. Louis area. His first stop is at the Hanley House in Clayton which was turned into a museum after its purchase by the city in 1968. Across the river in Edwardsville, Illinois, the Stevenson House has also been restored. The Twillman House in Spanish Lake has been turned into a community center and the Payne-Gentry House in Bridgeton is also undergoing renovations to preserve its history for future generations. Historic homes can be found in all parts of the city, from University City and Maplewood to Bridgeton, but it can be very time consuming and costly to restore these houses.
