How NOT to Beat King's Fall

What you’re about to see is a condensed version of over 15 hours of gameplay, yeah editing this one was fun. Today my team and I return to the dreadnaught and attempt to slay the Taken King once again and you know what, we’re gonna try an do it on Day 1. If you have any King’s Fall stories, or thoughts then feel free to leave them in the comments below and I’ll be sure to read through them. This was an absolute rollercoaster of emotions so grab a snack, and let’s revel in the adventure that is King’s Fall. I really hope you guys enjoy.

We rallied at the helm to make some last-minute adjustments to our loadouts. This is probably a good time to mention that half of our team has never done this raid before. Hyped up and ready for the ensuing fight, we took off and set our sights on Oryx’s infamous ship.
Let’s try this again, I loaded back in, and we shifted our gaze to the dreadnaught for real this time.
[Opening]
Right off the bat, I cant be the only one that completely forgot this encounter existed.
We were quickly hit with the realization that contest mode was gonna be a bit rougher than we anticipated. None of us have ever done a day 1 raid so this took some getting used to.
Okay I thought that was pretty cool.
[Fun and Interactive Jumping Puzzle]
Ignoring the Jinx in the room, I really like this jumping puzzle, it can be super punishing if you miss a jump but I’d be lying if I didn’t at least say that this was a really cool concept.
[Totems]
It’s important to remember that at the time of this recording, both Titans and Warlock’s resilience stat was bugged, essentially making them useless in contest mode.
We were trying to remember and figure out the new mechanics without help and watching this with the benefit of hindsight, it’s pretty funny.
Eventually we started to get more of a grasp on the brand mechanic and how you transfer it.
We were here for hours. After the first hour it was just a matter of staying alive since we more or less had the core mechanics down. Contest mode is no joke. We found a strange sense of hope in this ogre, kind of like a deadly reminder that we are actually progressing the encounter.
We took a quick break to eat since the severe lack of progress being made was really starting to eat away at our souls.

[Warpriest]
Looking back on this, we accidentally got the sequence right, before even figuring out what to do, I guess that’s not super unlikely, but, kinda cool.
And that is probably the last nice thing I said about this encounter. I do kinda like this change but man it took a lot of getting used too.
It took us quite a while to start putting in what could even be considered decent damage, this guy has a lot of health, and he really likes to hide.
I don’t even want to imagine this on contest mode, if you know how much health warpriest has leave it down below cause I’m really curious.
Yeah that one was satisfying.
[Golgoroth]
On to the definitive ogre boss, Golgoroth could really go either way for us. I honestly had no idea if we would be here for hours or like 30 minutes.
After some trial and error we decided to look up the mechanics.
Even after doing this, there was still a crutial part that we missed, unstable light.

After quite a while, we found success and slayed Golgoroth. This of course leads us to one of my personal favorite parts of the raid.

[Deathsingers]
After doing some research, we knew this encounter would be relatively easy. I heard the sisters just kinda tip over so we wren’t awfully worried.
