Dream/Hob (Sandman) - Tonight and the Rest of My Life (Nina Gordon)

Still shaken by captivity and seeking comfort, Dream probes the considerable depths of his imagination, where he finds… mostly Hob Gadling. But the fantasies of the Prince of Stories are too vivid — and self-incriminating. As he works up the courage to return to the safety of Hob’s arms, Dream’s mind conjures warnings, too. He’s turned his back on Hob too many times, and now every time he walks away, Hob will surely think it’s the end. Could he possibly even welcome Dream’s return? Or is that pure fantasy? Can Dream prove he’s changed enough to stay by Hob’s side?
