"I was very stressed," recalls Lorbert, who started as a teacher with PCF Sparkletots and is now a centre manager with Carpe Diem. "I had to make sure I didn't do things that parents would feel awkward about."

What do preschool teachers do? To Lorbert, it’s about giving the kids not just a nanny but a father figure to look up to. Shaping young minds is the most rewarding part of the job for him.
