Collecting data is one part of the story, but knowing your data estate is another thing. Let's see how Azure Purview can help you to manage and govern your data estate and bring it to another level.

No matter if the data resides in a database, SAP, Power BI, or even in a datalake; in the cloud or on-premises - Azure Purview can scan and help you classify your data estate.

This session will help you learn about the different areas of Azure Purview -such as how a data catalog can support your data management actions, why data classification is a must-have requirement, and how you can easily start with your data governance journey.

Wolfgang Strasser creates solutions based on the Microsoft Data Platform tools in his day-to-day job as Data consultant. It does not matter if it’s on-premises or in the cloud – the tools landscape broadens every day. With a major focus on Business Intelligence, data analytics, modern data warehousing, and Power BI there are many topics to work with and talk about. Which, by the way, is also a thing Wolfgang likes to do: speak about data-related stuff at user groups, conferences and events. For his community work, Wolfgang has been awarded with the Microsoft MVP Award for Data Platform in October 2015.
