Authorities in the United Arab Emirates are busy with mop-operations in the aftermath of a recent devastating storm. Originating in neighboring Oman on Sunday, the adverse weather struck the UAE on Tuesday, resulting in flooded roads and extensive gridlocks as rainwater gushed into homes.

Residents found themselves trapped in traffic, offices and their homes amidst what authorities describe as the heaviest rainfall in 75-years .
