Jayson Tatum: I HURT Same Ankle As Last Year on Bam Adebayo Foul | Postgame Interview

MIAMI -- Boston now has full control of this Eastern Conference series, as the top-seeded Celtics defeated the eighth-seeded Heat 102-88 to take a 3-1 lead in their opening-round NBA playoff series. With 5:04 left in the game, the tension escalated when Jayson Tatum attempted a 3-pointer just after a foul had been called. Bam Adebayo defended the subsequent dead-ball play, and Tatum rolled his left ankle after Adebayo stepped into his landing area. The referees issued a flagrant-1 foul on Adebayo and a technical foul on Al Horford for reacting.

Jayson Tatum commented on the incident, "Y’all saw it. I shot the ball afterwards, landed on his foot. The same ankle that I hurt in Game 7 last year, that I hurt against the Warriors, that I tweaked against the Clippers. So it didn’t feel good at first, but yeah, it was just that. And I don’t want to make it a bigger deal than what it is. Little play, I wasn’t tripping, moved on, kept playing, worried about the rest of the game.”
