The Meccano new motor chassis build with nickel parts of that period (1927). All the main functions of a car of that period are present and working (except for the clutch-pedal). I do not have an original nickel plated Meccano motor, but I made one out of 2 sector plates 52 and a modern electric 12 V motor. The gear box has to be adjusted carefully but then operates smoothly.
