Young Dragon: The Failed Targaryen Conqueror

Born in the aftermath of the Dance of the Dragons, Daeron I Targaryen grew up dragonless. A dragon would have really helped him during his time larping as Aegon the Conqueror in Dorne. The Young Dragon had one of the shortest and most pathetic reigns in Targaryen history, as he lost over fifty thousand men in his war for Dorne and still failed anyway. Though Jon Snow sees him as a hero, Daeron Targaryen was one of the least effective kings in ASOIAF history (unless his goal was to accomplish nothing, in which case he was actually quite effective). When you play the Game of Thrones, you win or you die, but if you're Daeron, you simply inherit a throne, start a war for no reason, and die at the ripe old age of eighteen. Sheesh.
