India defeated Pakistan 3-0 in a dramatic bowl-out after their Twenty20 World Cup match was tied .

In cricket’s version of a penalty shootout, Virender Sehwag, Harbhajan Singh and Robin Uthappa were successful in hitting the stumps for India, while Pakistan’s Yasir Arafat, Umar Gul and Shahid Afridi failed to do so.

In reply to India’s 141 for 9 in 20 overs, Pakistan finished at 141 for 7. Misbah-ul-Haq was the top scorer for Pakistan with 53. He was run out on the last ball when his team needed just one run to win the match.

India topped the group with three points, followed by Pakistan (two) and Scotland (one).

Earlier, Mohammad Asif’s four-wicket burst rocked India before Robin Uthappa and Mahendra Singh Dhoni propped up the side.

In a rain-plagued match, the Indian top order succumbed to Asif’s spell and the side stuttered to 36 for four before Uthappa (50) and Dhoni (33) helped bring some respectability to the score.
