F-16 vs MiG-29 - The Last Air Battle of Operation Allied Force

NATO operation called Allied Force commenced on 24 March 1999. Serbian MiG-29 fighters initially tried to confront NATO strike groups but no success was achieved while five fighters were lost. It is now 4 May 1999, the operation is still underway but Serbian MiGs haven't tried to takeoff for weeks. However, political pressure will result in a single fighter taking off from Batajnica airbase. The MiG-29 is flown by the CO of 204th Fighter Regiment, Colonel Milenko Pavlović. Not willing to send any of his subordinates to almost certain death, he personally takes off to face a superior force.
NATO strike groups are defended by USAF F-16s. They play dual role, protecting them from fighters and surface-to-air missiles. Michael 'Dog' Geczy leads one of two F-16 flights. After the first strike group finishes the attack, F-16s turn away to escort them out. At that moment, AWACS calls bogey in the air. Geczy's group, although low on fuel turns to meet the threat.
