Conan The Barbarian Arnold Schwarzenegger Best Moments

Conan The Barbarian (1982) was one of Arnold Schwarzenegger's first breakout roles which is likely to have landed him such iconic roles as the terminator in 84.

Schwarzenegger plays Conan, the son of a Blacksmith in a small village of people known as Cimmerians. Conan's father shows him a sword he created and the ways of his people as chosen swordsmen. When Conan is still a child around the age of 6 years old, the village is raided by a group of bandits who kill Conan's father and his mother in front of him. All the children in the village are rounded up and enslaved, working day and night tirelessly to push a wheel around a mill.

It is through this that Conan is able to amass such a huge amount of muscle and such a large frame. He is then thrust into the heart of one on one combat in a small arena to fight for his life as a gladiator. After winning every fight and becoming the prized gladiator, he is set free and wanders the land alone.

After finding an ancient sword and a witch who predicts grand things for Conan, he then befriends two new travelers and becomes a thief. He however, steals the wrong jewels and finds himself in front of a king.

He is given an opportunity to rescue the kings daughter from the man who destroyed his family so many years ago. He finds his way into the belly of the beast and is taken hostage and left for dead in the desert. His friends find him and they all attempt to save the kings daughter. They are succesful with one of them not making it. Conan sets a trap for the raiders who attack and he demolishes his entire army. Saves the girl and saves the day.
