Repair BROKEN Bail Arm for CAT 637 Scraper | Part 1

This video is Part 1 of repairing a broken bail arm for a Caterpillar 637 Scraper wheel tractor. This is the bail arm on a twin drive push pull machine and has quite a bit of damage, it is completely broken in two parts, one of the ends is bent and the bushing position needs line boring. In this part 1 we show the step by step process to prep the broken bail arm for repair including gouging and grinding. We also use our 150 tonne hydraulic press to straighten the bent end before machining a piece of hollow bar that will replace the broken section of the bail arm.
