The Drop Shot Fly Rig is an absolutely awesome way to suspend flies in various levels of the water column to entice trout (and other fish) to bite! It's incredibly effective in rivers and creeks, but also works well in lakes and ponds. I've used this rig numerous times over the past couple of years, and have caught hundreds of trout and bass with it, as well as catfish, carp, sunfish and tilapia.
