Although Roblox started as a gaming platform, after going public for $41 billion earlier in 2021, they've shifted focus on creating the Metaverse. Meanwhile, Mark Zuckerberg has been aiming for the same goal, ever since Facebook bought Oculus in 2014. Fortnite also wishes to be a Metaverse player, already making progress in this direction. All of these, however, lack an important aspect, which is decentralization. The solution? Look at projects like Decentraland or The Sandbox. They are taking innovative steps in the Metaverse arena, but with nowhere near the same user base. Who will set the standard in this upcoming industry?
