BOC - How to transport gas cylinders safely

Are you planning to transport gas cylinders? First, ensure that your vehicle is suitable.
-An open vehicle such as a utility provides the best ventilation
-Ventilation is the key to reducing the risk of fire or explosion
-Always double check to ensure cylinder valves have been properly closed and leak checked prior to transport
-Equipment such as regulators, hoses and torches must be depressurised and disconnected prior to transport
-Ensure flammable gas cylinders are in an upright position and restrained properly prior to transport
-Ensure gas cylinders are removed from the vehicle as soon as you reach your destination
-BOC recommends that customers avoid transportation of all gas cylinders in enclosed vehicles
-If you have an enclosed vehicle, please consider having your cylinders delivered, or having an approved vented gas cylinder cabinet fitted to your vehicle.
