Price: Tata could price it from Rs 16 lakh (ex-showroom) onwards.

Variants: Customers can book it in four broad variants: Smart, Pure, Adventure, and Accomplished.

Colours: The facelifted Safari is available in seven colour options: Cosmic Gold, Galactic Sapphire, Stardust Ash, Stellar Frost, Oberon Black, Supernova Copper, and Lunar Slate.

Seating Capacity: It comes in both 6- and 7-seater layouts.

Boot Space: The Tata Safari facelift offers a boot space of 420 litres when all three rows are being used. The third row seats can also be tumbled into a 50:50 split ratio for an increased boot space of 827 litres.

Engine and Transmission: The Safari facelift comes with a 2-litre diesel engine with the updated Safari. It makes 170PS and 350Nm as before and the unit is mated to either a 6-speed manual or 6-speed automatic transmission. Here’s the claimed fuel efficiency of the Safari facelifted:

Features: The 2023 Tata Safari boasts amenities like a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a 10.25-inch fully digital driver’s display, a 10-speaker JBL sound system, and wireless phone charger.

It also gets gesture-enabled powered tailgate, multi-colour ambient lighting, dual-zone automatic AC, a panoramic sunroof, ventilated front and rear (only in 6-seater version) seats, air purifier, 6-way powered driver’s seat with memory and welcome function, and 4-way powered co-driver’s seat with electric boss mode.

Safety: On the safety front, it is equipped with up to seven airbags (six airbags as standard), electronic stability control (ESC), hill assist, a 360-degree camera, tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS), and advanced driver assistance system (ADAS) features which now also includes adaptive cruise control.

Rivals: The facelifted Safari will continue to rival the MG Hector Plus, Hyundai Alcazar and Mahindra XUV700.
