5 Books Every Beginner Programmer Should Read

Описание к видео 5 Books Every Beginner Programmer Should Read

In this video, I am mostly talking to people who've already gotten their first jobs as junior developers. There are five books, plus a bonus one, that every junior programmer should read, in my opinion of course but I haven't read all the books yet, so my opinion may change over time :)

There are plenty of books available on the market. If you're just starting out your programming journey, it's probably better to stick to courses like freecodecamp.org and not overthink it.

But you may still check out the "Talent Code" book that I mention first in this video. Just watch the video to find out why that is.

If you are just starting out and do prefer a book on a particular programming language, then the "Head First" series is great. Just Google "Head First" and the language you're trying to learn, e.g. "Head First Javascript". At least they try to make it fun.

It's not enough to just know how to program a computer. It's also important to understand how to structure your code, what the best practices are, how to work in an existing codebase, and, of course, how to test the code you write.
