WHAT is a Hydrant Truck?

There at a ton of different types of vehicles and specialty vehicles used in emergency services. HND has been traveling the country looking at many of those unique vehicles but here is one that we have not seen, a HYDRANT truck. Leland Township Fire Rescue has been using this truck for years. They designed it for the area in which they live. There is no municipal water source so they have to use what they can find that is provided by nature or other man-made sources. Incomes the hydrant truck used to draft and supply tankers and engines for sources such as streams, rivers, ponds, lakes, and even swimming pools. HND not only was able to learn what this truck was but we got to put it to use. Check out this video and learn with us as Brandon, Zorran, and James teach me how and why this truck exists.
